How do you play Yatzy?

Roll five dice up to three times per turn, keeping the ones you want. Then write the score into one open box. Fifteen turns fill the sheet; highest total wins.

How many points is a Yatzy?

Five of a kind scores 50. In Maxi Yatzy six of a kind scores 100.

When do you get the Yatzy bonus?

When ones to sixes add up to 63 or more: 50 points. Forced Yatzy lowers the line to 42, Maxi Yatzy raises it to 84 for 100 points.

What counts as a small straight?

In Yatzy exactly 1-2-3-4-5 for 15 points. In the American variant any four in a row for 30.

How is a full house scored?

Three of one face plus two of another. Yatzy scores the sum of the dice; the American variant gives a flat 25.

Is Yatzy the same as Yahtzee?

No. Yahtzee® has 13 boxes, no pairs, run straights and a 35 bonus. Yatzy has 15 boxes with pairs, fixed straights and a 50 bonus. Both are playable here.

What is the highest possible Yatzy score?

374 in Yatzy, 375 in the American variant before extra five-of-a-kind bonuses, 649 in Maxi Yatzy.

Can I play with my own rules?
